How many Google AdSense ads can we have on a single page? According to the new AdSense ad placement policy, there is no limit on the number of ads you can place on a given page.
Which means Publishers can now place more than three ads for content ad units on a given page. Content units include all Text + Image ads.
In August 2016, Google AdSense lifted the ad unit limit for every site.
Publishers can now place unlimited AdSense ads on a web page provided that the total number of AdSense ads or third-party ads must not exceed the visible content.

What was the Old AdSense Ad Limit Policy
Earlier, AdSense had a maximum limit of 3 ad units but “premium partners” were allowed serving up to 6 ad units.
:: Up to 3 (Three) number of Content Ads (a mixed type of AdSense, that is both text and rich media type)
:: Up to 3 (three) number of Text only Link Ads and
:: Up to 2 (two) number of the Custom search Ad unit.
So, as per Google AdSense directives, we could display 3+3+2 (total 8) number of Google AdSense in a single post page.
Publishers were restricted to one “large” ad unit per page. A “large” ad unit is defined as any unit similar in size of 300×600 format. This would include 300×1050 and 970×250 formats, and any other custom-sized ad with comparable dimensions.
New AdSense Ad Placement Policy
In August 2016, Google AdSense lifted the ad unit limit for every site.
Publishers can now place
:: More than three AdSense for content ad units on a given page.
:: More than three Link ad units on a single page.
:: More than one large ad unit per page.
Large ad units includes for example 300×600, 300×1050 and 970×250 formats, 750×200 and 580×400 regional formats.
And now you can place an unlimited number of AdSense ads on a single page with no upper limit.
While limit has been removed AdSense ads and other paid promotional material added to your pages should not exceed your content.
It is essential to maintain the quality of your site and balance between ads and page content to achieve a good user experience.
You also need to maintain the quality of your site content, updated regularly. Your content must be original and valuable to users otherwise it will violate the Webmasters quality guidelines.
The new Google AdSense Ad Placement policy 2019 is the following:
Advertising and other paid promotional material added to your pages should not exceed your content. Furthermore, the content you provide should add value and be the focal point for users visiting your page. For this reason, we may limit or disable ad serving on pages with little to no value and/or excessive advertising until changes are made.”
But before you jump into conclusion and start placing Ads. There are some strict guidelines you must follow before placing multiple Ads on a page.
You must follow these restrictions carefully to ensure your AdSense account is not disabled or limited.
Examples of unacceptable pages include but are not limited to
:: Mirroring, framing, scraping or rewriting of content from other sources without adding value
:: Pages with more advertising than publisher-provided content
:: Automatically generated content without manual review or curation
:: Hosted ad pages or pages without content
:: Pages that don’t follow our Webmaster Quality Guidelines.”
Conclusion:
Placing too many Ads on a page will not help increase your ad revenue on the contrary it might result in lower CPMs and CTRs.
It is better to optimize your existing ad placements instead of introducing more ad units. This way, you can discover new best-performing ad formats for your site and maximize your ad revenue through them.
