To download, log on to your FB account. Click on this cogwheel type icon.( cogwheel is now replaced with an arrow) Click on it and select “settings”.
On the left-hand menu column click on “General settings”. From the General settings page click on “Download a copy of your Facebook data”.
But if you think you will never use Facebook again or due to some security reasons you wish to delete your Facebook account permanently. Then you can request to have your Facebook account permanently deleted.
But remember you won’t be able to reactivate your account or retrieve anything you have uploaded.
Having said that and you have decided to delete your Facebook account, you will need to fill up this form. You will have to log on to your account with your Facebook credentials.
